How does discharge pressure remain 50psi if you change the flow? Doesnt opening the valve more, reduce the resistance pressure on the inflow? And thus the discharge pressure should be higher?

Question: if your setting is 50 psi on the discharge side when you close it from flowing, Does the pressure on the discharge side increase or remain at 50 psi.

Some things to keep in mind when installing an inline valve 1) before breaking pipe, run your probe along each side of the pipe into the walls of the trench and ensure you don’t have a coupling close by. 2) throw some jacks under the pipe on each side. This will ensure your pipe doesn’t sag and pull out of the coupling 3) To minimize using short pup pieces of pipe and multiple leak points - Use and FCA on one and and change your valve off that then a longer stick of pipe and 1 coupling for the other side 4) Always, always, always grease and wax tap your valve and couplings - this will preserve the assembly and bolts and make it easy for the next guy who has to dig it up and repair it in 30-40 years

6:24 is wrong Because when the valve open it will not allow the flow from downstream to the main valve It is one direction flow from the main valve to downstream so the correct it will allow the flow in the top chamber to be evacuated through the pilot to downstream not vice versa

Good day Claval team We are having a very rough experience in getting quotation from your UAE representatives. From past 14 days we are chasing them and till today the quote has not been provided. And that being the case after we gave them the model number and specifications. If they had to choose it, I wonder how long it would have been delayed. No doubts, your valves might be good but the supporting staff is not that great to be honest.

The working principle for this station is the same for the fire protection jokey and Electric pumps which are connected in parallel if there's small pressure drop in the system due to leakage the pressure will be drop until it reaches the setting point of jokey pump so it will comes to service If the pressure dropped more due to sprinklers operation or hose cabinet the pressure will be reduced more until reaching the setting point of the electric pump it will come also to service to fulfill the demand of higher flow and so on. So by this configuration we keeping the larger PRV from continuous operation to protect it from cavitation for long life operation. Also this station may be working alternatively during maintenance works in one side branch keeping the other working delivering water to the system.

How does this work if system also has a float to call for pump run

Hi George we are using your product in our company and some other brand. I just have noticed the design of the valve body is much larger compare to other brand (size 300mm). What is the advantage of that having a larger body?
